Wiper Motor

1. Inspect wiper motor at low speed as follows:
a. Connect positive lead from battery to terminal 3 and negative lead to terminal 1, Fig. 20.

b. Ensure motor operates at low speed. If not, replace motor.
2. Inspect operation at high speed as follows:
a. Connect positive lead from battery to terminal 2 and negative lead to terminal 1.
b. Ensure motor operates at high speed. If not, replace motor.
3. Inspect stopping in Stop position as follows:
a. Operate motor at low speed and stop motor by disconnecting positive lead from terminal 3.
b. Connect terminals 3 and 4, then connect battery positive to terminal 5 and negative to terminal 1, Fig. 21.

c. Ensure motor goes to stop position. If not, replace motor.
