4-3: closed with the Ignition Switch at "ON" position and the Engine Coolant Temp. Switch open.

A3 A/C Single Pressure Switch
2-3: open above approx. 1519 KPa (220 Psi, 15.5 kg/square cm).
closed below approx. 1225 KPa (178 Psi, 12.5 kg/square cm).

E5 Engine Coolant Temp. Switch
2-1: open above approx. 90° C (194° F).
closed below approx. 83° C (181.4° F).
