Brake Pedal Reserve Distance Check

Fig. 1 Brake Pedal Reserve Distance Inspection:

1. Release parking brake.
2. With engine running, depress brake pedal and measure pedal reserve distance, Fig. 1.
3. If pedal reserve distance is not 3.5 inch while applying 110.2 lbs. of force, check all brake components for correct operation.
