Note: A "New Belt" refers to a belt which has been on a running engine less than 5 minutes. A "Used Belt" refers to a belt which has been on a running engine for more than 5 minutes. After installing the drive belt, ensure it fits properly in the ribbed grooves.
Refer to Fig. 41 for belt routing diagram. Ensure proper belt tension by checking that belt rides within the A area of the belt tensioner, Fig. 42. If belt does fall within the A area, Service and Repair belt. The new belt should ride within the B area.
