NOTE: Removal of the front knuckle is necessary to perform the following procedure; for more information refer to:
Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Knuckle





REMOVAL
1. Using a screwdriver, remove the dust deflector.
2. Remove the lower ball joint, following these procedures.
a. Remove the cotter pin and nut.





b. Using the 09628-62011 SST, remove the lower ball joint.
3. Remove the axle hub by following these procedures.





a. Using the 09520-00031 SST, remove the axle hub.





b. Using the 09950 - 00020, 09950-0010 (09951-00400), 09950 - 70010 (09951 -07100) SST and a press, remove the inner race (outside) from the axle hub.
4. Using a (T30) torx wrench , remove the four bolts and dust cover.
5. Remove the bearing from steering knuckle, performing the following.
a. Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring.
b. Place the inner race on the outside of the bearing.





c. Using the 09310 - 35010, 09527-17011 SST and a press, remove the bearing.

INSTALLATION





1. Using the 09608-32010 SST and a press, install a new bearing to the steering knuckle, and, using snap ring pliers, install a new snap ring.
2. Install the dust cover then place the dust cover and using a (T30) torx wrench, tighten the four bolts to 8.3 Nm (74 inch lbs.).





3. Using the 09310-35010, 09608-32010 SST and a press, install the front axle hub.
4. Install the lower ball joint by doing these steps.
a. Install the lower ball joint and tighten the nut to 123 Nm (90 ft. lbs.).
b. Install a new cotter pin.





5. Using the 09316-60011 (09316 - 00011, 09316 - 00041), 09608-32010 SST and a hammer, install a new dust deflector.

NOTE: Align the holes for the ABS speed sensor in the dust deflector and steering knuckle.

6. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: After installation, check the ABS speed sensor signal and front wheel alignment.
