NOTE: When using a vise, do not overtighten it.

Second Of Two:

1. Install the two energy absorbing plates, following these procedures.
a. Install the energy absorbing plate guide and absorbing plate.





b. Install the new energy absorbing clip.
2. Install the column tube support and do the following.
a. Install the tube attachment to the tube support.
b. Tighten the bolt and washer to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs).
3. Install the tilt lever return spring.
4. Install the turn signal bracket and tighten the two bolts to 7 Nm (61 inch lbs.).





5. Install the column upper bracket and the column upper clamp and tighten the two new tapered-head bolts until the bolt head breaks off.
6. Install the key cylinder lamp assembly and tighten the screw.
