Inspection

Second Of Two:








1. Inspect the steering lock operation by checking to see if the steering lock mechanism operates properly.
2. If necessary, replace key cylinder by doing these steps.
a. Place the ignition key at the ACC position.





b. Push down the stop pin with a screwdriver, and pull out the cylinder.
c. Install a new cylinder.

NOTE: Make sure the key is at the ACC position.

3. Inspect the ignition switch.
4. If necessary, replace the ignition switch after performing the following.
a. Remove the two screws.
b. Install a new switch with the two screws.
5. Inspect the key unlock warning switch.
6. If necessary, replace the key unlock warning switch, performing the following.
a. Remove the two screws.
b. Install a new switch with the two screws.
7. Inspect the key interlock solenoid.
8. If necessary, replace the key interlock solenoid, performing the following.
a. Remove the two screws.
b. Install a new solenoid with the two screws.
