Control Arm: Service and Repair





REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the front wheel.

NOTE: When installing the front wheel, tighten the wheel to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.).





2. Disconnect the lower suspension arm from the lower ball joint after removing the two nuts and bolt.

NOTE: When installing the nuts and bolt tighten them to 127 Nm (94 ft. lbs.).

3. Remove the lower suspension arm by performing the following.





a. Remove the two bolts on the front side of the lower suspension arm.

NOTE: When installing the bolts, tighten them to 206 Nm (152 ft. lbs.).





b. Remove the bolt and nut on the rear side of the lower suspension arm.

NOTE: When installing the bolt and nut, tighten them to 206 Nm (152 ft. lbs.).

c. Remove the lower suspension arm.
d. Remove the lower suspension arm bushing stopper from the lower suspension arm shaft.
4. Reverse procedure to install.
