Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Remove the rear wheel.
NOTE: When installing the rear wheel, tighten it to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.).
2. Remove the exhaust center pipe.
3. Remove the strut rod after performing the following procedures.
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the parking brake cable.
NOTE: When installing the cable, tighten the bolt to 5.4 Nm (48 inch lbs.).
b. Remove the two bolts and nuts.
Installation Hint: After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the bolts to 113 Nm (83 ft. lbs.).
c. Remove the strut rod.
4. Remove the No.2 lower suspension arm.
a. Remove the three nuts and suspension arm washers.
Installation Hint: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nuts to 181 Nm (134 ft. lbs.).
b. Remove the No.2 lower suspension arm.
NOTE: Face the paint mark to the rearward.
5. Remove the left and right stabilizer brackets.
6. Remove the No.1 lower suspension arm after performing the following.
a. Support the suspension member with a jack.
b. Remove the four nuts, two bolts and suspension member lower stoppers.
NOTE: When installing the suspension member, tighten the nuts and bolt as follows.
^ Bolt: 51 Nm (38 ft. lbs.).
^ Nut A: 51 Nm (38 ft. lbs.).
^ Nut B: 38 Nm (28 ft. lbs.).
c. Lower the suspension member.
d. Remove the No.1 lower suspension arm with the two bolts and washer.
NOTE: Face the paint mark to the rearward.
INSTALLATION
To install reverse the removal procedure, noting the following:
- check the rear wheel alignment.
