REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the left and right front wheels.
NOTE: When installing the front tires, tighten them down to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.).
2. Remove the left and right stabilizer bar links after removing the four nuts and two links.
NOTE:
^ When installing the links, tighten them to 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.)
^ If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 5 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.
3. Remove the left and right brackets and bushings after removing the four bolts, two brackets and bushings.
NOTE:
^ When installing the brackets, tighten them to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
^ Install the bushing to the inside of the bushing on the stabilizer bar.
4. Remove the stabilizer bar from the left hand side.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the pressure feed tube.
5. Inspect the stabilizer bar link ball joint for rotation condition and do the following procedures.
a. As shown, flip the ball joint stud back and forth five times, before installing the nut.
b. Using a torque wrench, turn the nut continuously one turn each 2 - 4 seconds and take the torque reading on the 5th turn. The turning torque is 0.05 -1.0 Nm (0.4 - 8.7 inch lbs.).
6. Reverse procedure to install.
