Rear





REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the rear wheels.

NOTE: When installing the rear wheels, tighten the wheels to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.).





2. Remove the left and right stabilizer bar links after removing the four nuts and the two links.

NOTE:
^ If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 5 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.
^ When installing the links, tighten them to 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.).

3. Remove the three bolts, clip and the heat insulator.





4. Remove the four bolts, two brackets and then the left and right brackets and the bushings.

INSTALLATION HINT: Install the bushing to the outside of the bushing on the stabilizer bar, then tighten the bolts to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).

5. Remove the stabilizer bar.

NOTE: Inspect the stabilizer bar link ball joint for rotation condition by performing the following.





a. As shown, flip the ball joint stud back and forth five times, before installing the nut.
b. Using a torque gauge, turn the nut continuously one turn each 2 - 4 seconds and take the torque reading on the fifth turn. The turning torque is 0.05 - 1.0 Nm (0.4 - 8.7 inch lbs.).
6. Reverse procedure to install.
