A production change to the Gear Drive Assembly has been made to prevent the Moon Roof from automatically reopening immediately atter the roof has moved to a fully closed position.

Repair Procedure

Replace Slide Roof Gear Drive Subassembly with counter measured parts. Counter measured parts can be identified by production date stamped on the motor housing. Prior to installing replacement Slide Roof Gear Drive Subassembly, locale the stamp date as shown and confirm that it was produced after 12/01/97.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*: 1

This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for

48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer~s specific complaint.
