Introduction

The following repair procedures were developed to eliminate a possible rattle noise from the rear center seat belt retractor and luggage trim areas.

For Center Rear Seat Belt Retractor Rattle -

For Luggage Trim No. 1 Rattle

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's complaint.

Repair Procedure

Center Rear Seat Belt Retractor Rattle








To eliminate a possible rattle noise caused by excess clearance between the package tray and center rear seat belt retractor cover, add tape-backed Urethane Sponge (T: 1 mm, W: 60 mm, L: 10 mm) to the center rear seat belt retractor cover as shown.

Repair Procedure

Luggage Trim No. 1 Rattle








To eliminate a possible rattle noise caused by excess clearance between the package tray trim and the No. 1 Luggage Compartment Trim Cover, add tape-backed foam (W: 150 mm, L: 10 mm) to the No. 1 Luggage Compartment Trim Cover as shown.
