Introduction
The following information is intended to assist in diagnosis of MIL "ON" with DTC P0715 stored in ECM memory, indicating an Input/Turbine Speed Sensor malfunction.

Affected Vehicles
1998 model year LS 400, GS 400, and SC 400.

Repair Procedure
- Should a MIL "ON" condition with a DTC of P0715 be encountered, perform diagnostic procedures as described in the Repair Manual.
- If the problem source cannot be identified after checking all affected areas according to the Repair Manual, the cause may be an ECM malfunction. In this case, replace the ECM.

NOTE: In the Repair Manual, Speed Sensor Resistance specification (560 to 680 ohms) is for measurement at room temperature (20°C or 68°F).

CAUTION: When replacing the ECM, be sure to register ALL customer keys. Please refer to Repair Manual for Key Registration procedure.
