Introduction

The following repair procedures were developed to eliminate a possible vibration noise and rattles from the Glove Box area.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:

This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's complaint.

Repair Procedure

Glove Box Rattle





To eliminate a possible rattle noise caused by excess clearance between the Instrument Panel and Glove Box attaching clips, add tape-backed felt (T: 0.5 mm, W: 18 mm, L: 40 mm) to the clips as shown.

Repair Procedure

Glove Box Damper





To eliminate a possible rattle noise caused by a loose Glove Box Damper, tighten the Damper Arm attaching bolt as shown.

Repair Procedure

Console/Glove Box Vibration





To eliminate a possible vibration noise caused by excess clearance between the Console Box and the Glove Box, add tape backed felt (T: 1 mm, W: 15 mm, L: 25 mm) to the tab on the Glove Box as shown.
