Introduction

The following repair procedures were developed to eliminate a possible Instrument Panel Squeak, Glove Box vibration, and an upper finisher panel rattle/squeak.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:

This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's complaint.

Repair Procedure

Dash/Instrument Panel Squeak





To eliminate a possible squeak caused by interference between the dash panel and instrument panel, add tape-backed felt (T: 5 mm, W: 105 mm, L: 30 mm) to the edge of the instrument panel as shown.

Repair Procedure

Console Box Vibration





To eliminate a possible vibration caused by clearance between the Console Box and Lower Safety Pad No.1, add tape-backed felt (T: 1 mm, W: 10 mm, L: 30 mm) to the Lower Safety Pad as shown.

Repair Procedure Center

Console/Upper Finish Panel Rattle/Squeak








To eliminate a possible rattle/squeak noise caused by excess free play between the Center Console and Upper Finish Panel, add tape-backed felt (T: 0.5 mm, W: 18 mm, L: 60 mm) to the (2) attaching clips as shown.
