Introduction
This is to inform you of the seat heater replacement procedure. A change has been made to allow separate installation of the seat heater element.

^ 1997-1999, and 2000 model year ES 300 vehicles.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty *:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

2. Any local supply tool that is equivalent to the items shown is acceptable.

How to use the Tacker:





As shown in Figure 1, drive in a tack pin with the tacker and fix the seat heater to the seat cover.

Repair Information

^ For the installation/removal of the seat and the disassembly/assembly of the seat cushion assembly, refer to the 2000 model year ES 300 Repair Manual (pages BO-97 through 105).

^ Care should be taken during the operation to protect the seat cover from scratches, dirt or accidental cuts.
