Disassembly and Reassembly
FRONT DOORDISASSEMBLY
1. REMOVE ARMREST BASE PANEL
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the clip.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Pull the panel forward and disconnect the connector.
2. REMOVE DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL COVER
Using a screwdriver, pry outward the cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
3. REMOVE DOOR COURTESY LIGHT
Using a screwdriver, remove the door courtesy light, then disconnect the connector.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
4. REMOVE DOOR TRIM
a. Remove the 2 caps and 8 screws.
b. Pass the screwdriver between the panel and the trim and remove clips.
NOTE: Do not scratch the panel with the screwdriver.
c. Remove the trim by pulling all of the trim
d. Remove the 2 cables from the door inside handle.
e. Remove the 11 nuts, the front door trim ornament and door inside handle.
f. Remove the armrest.
g. w/ Seat memory switch:
Remove the 2 screws and seat memory switch from the front door trim ornament.
5. REMOVE DOOR SPEAKER GRILLE
Using a screwdriver, pry loose the 2 clips and remove the cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
6. REMOVE DOOR TRIM UPPER PANEL
Remove the 6 screws and pry out the panel.
7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
While pulling the weatherstrip by hand, remove the 9 clips using a clip remover.
HINT: Do not pull strongly on the weatherstrip as it may tear.
8. REMOVE OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR AND SPEAKER
a. Remove the 2 bolts and speaker, disconnect the connector
b. Remove the 2 bolts and mirror, disconnect the connector.
9. REMOVE SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
Disconnect connectors from speaker assembly and remove speaker assembly with the 4 bolts.
10. REMOVE SCREW GROMMETS
Using a clip remover, remove the 2 grommets.
11. REMOVE SERVICE HOLE COVER
Remove the cover by pulling at the edge by hand.
NOTE: Do not tear the cover.
HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following items.
- Before installing the service hole cover, peel off the backing paper from the silencer.
- Seal the service hole cover with adhesive.
12. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS FROM DOOR PANEL
Using a clip remover, remove the wire harness clamps from the 10 position on the door panel.
13. REMOVE DOOR INSIDE PANEL FRAME
Remove the 3 bolts and frame.
14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING
a. Remove the 8 screws and 5 nuts.
b. Using a scraper, remove the double-sided tape from the rear side.
HINT: Tape the scraper tip before use.
HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.
If the adhesive power of the tape is reduced, replace it with new tape.
15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER WEATHERSTRIP
a. Put loose the clips from the edge of the panel and remove the belt moulding.
b. Pass the claw of the clips into the upper panel hole and push the moulding onto the panel.
16. REMOVE FRONT GLASS GUIDE
Remove the 3 screws and the guide.
17. REMOVE REAR GLASS GUIDE AND DOOR GLASS
a. Remove the 4 screws from the guide.
b. Remove the window regulator and glass.
c. Pull the door glass with the guide out of the panel carefully.
HINT: Do not remove the guide from the glass.
18. REMOVE WINDOW REGULATOR
Remove the 6 nuts and regulator.
Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.
Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating parts of the window regulator.
19. REMOVE DOOR LOCK
a. Disconnect the 2 links from the outside handle and key cylinder.
b. Disconnect the connector.
c. Using a torx wrench, remove the 3 screws and door lock.
Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
HINT: Remove the door lock through the service hole.
HINT:
At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following items.
- Apply adhesive to 3 screws.
Part No.08833-00070, THREE BOND 1324 or equivalent
- Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating parts of the door lock.
20. REMOVE OUTSIDE HANDLE AND KEY CYLINDER
a. Disonnect the connector from the key cylinder.
b. Remove the 3 bolts, key cylinder and outside handle.
21. REMOVE SIDE PROTECTION MOULDING
a. Remove the 2 nuts.
b. Pry loosen clips remove the moulding onto the panel.
HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.
Pass the top of the clips into the panel hole and tap the moulding onto the panel.
REASSEMBLY
Reassembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.
