Seat Heater Control System

INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch or bulb.





INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH INDICATOR
A. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2.
B. Push the switches, check that the indicator lights up. If operation is not as specified, replace the switch and inspect the circuits connected to other parts.








INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the switch connector and inspect the connector on the wire harness side.

If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuits connected to other parts.





INSPECT SEAT CUSHION CONTINUITY
A. Heat the 2 thermostats with light. Check that there is no continuity above 45 °C (113 °F) between terminals 1 and 2.
B. Cool the 2 thermostats below 15 °C (59 °F). Check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 2.





INSPECT SEAT BACK CONTINUITY
Check that there is continuity between terminals 1 and 2.

If continuity is not as specified, replace the seat back pad.
