DUST DEFLECTOR NOISE
Some of the vehicles below may experience a ticking noise from the front wheel bearing dust deflector due to looseness of the dust deflector. To improve this condition, production parts have been changed.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2000 model year ES 300 vehicles.
- 2000 model year RX 300 vehicles.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Removal
1. Remove the front axle hub (Please refer to Repair Manual).
2. Remove the dust deflector.
Installation
1. Using the SSTs and a hammer, install a new dust deflector.
SST 09316-60011 (09316-00011, 09316-00041), 09608-32010
2. Install the front axle hub in the reverse order of disassembly.
NOTE:
Align the holes for the ABS speed sensor in the dust deflector and steering knuckle.
