Removal and Replacement

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Using a clip remover, disconnect the clamps.
c. Remove the 4 bolts and door.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)

2. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
a. Luggage compartment floor mat
b. Rear floor finish plate
c. Side luggage compartment trim cover
d. Front luggage compartment trim cover
e. No.1 luggage compartment trim cover
f. Room partition trim cover
g. Rear seat
h. Seat belt
i. Speaker grille
j. Rear door scuff plate
k. Opening trim
l. Rear seat side garnish




3. REMOVE HIGH-MOUNTED STOP LIGHT
a. Slide the light rearward.
b. Remove the stop light, then disconnect the connector.




4. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH
Remove the roof side inner garnish.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE TETHER ANCHOR
a. Using a screw driver, remove the CRS tether anchor cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the CRS tether anchor by loosening the bolt.

Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

c. Employ the same manner described above to the other side.

6. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM
7. REMOVE ROOM PARTITION TRIM




8. REMOVE TORSION BAR
a. Remove the torsion bars from the center bracket.




b. Install SST to the torsion bar on the hinge side.




c. Push down on SST, and pull the luggage compartment door hinge from the torsion bar.




d. Slowly lift SST, and remove the torsion bar from the torsion bar bracket with SST.




e. Disconnect the torsion bar from the bracket.

f. Do the same for the other side.




9. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE
a. Remove the 4 bolts.
b. Remove the hinge.

Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf)

INSTALLATION
Installation is In the reverse order of removal
