Title:
"MILES SINCE REFUEL" DISPLAY RESETTING

Models
'98-'00 LS 4OO

June 1, 2001

Introduction

Some owners of 1998 - 2000 model year LS 400 vehicles may complain of the "Miles Since Refuel" function of the Multi-Information Display resetting to "0" even though the vehicle had not been refueled. In order to minimize the possibility of this occurrence, a new fuel gauge circuit logic has been adopted. Additionally, the fuel sender may also need to be replaced on some vehicles.

NOTE:
Due to the nature of the design of this system, resetting of this display may occur if the vehicle is parked on a steep incline or decline. This is a normal condition, and will not be impacted by the procedures provided in this bulletin.
