Front Seat

DISASSEMBLY




1. REMOVE HEADREST
2. REMOVE SEAT GARNISH
a. Using a screwdriver, pull out the snap ring and remove the handle.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove 2 switch knobs.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

c. Remove 3 screws.




d. Remove 3 screws from the seat lower side.
e. Remove the garnish, as shown in the illustration.
f. Disconnect the connectors.
g. Remove lumbar support switch from the seat garnish.




3. REMOVE SEATBACK BOARD
a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Push the board, as shown with your hands.
c. Slide the board upward to remove it.




4. REMOVE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
a. Using the screwdriver, remove the hog rings and disconnect the hooks from the seatback.
b. Disconnect wire harness clamp.
c. Disconnect the connector.




d. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback assembly.

NOTE: Do not damage the wire harness or connectors.

Torque: 26 N.m (260 kgf.cm, 19 ft.lbf)




5. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts.
b. Disconnect the connectors.
c. Remove the seat cushion assembly.




6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT
Remove the bolt and inner belt.

Torque: 43 N.m (440 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf)




7. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER
a. Remove headrest grommets.
b. Peel the seatback cover away from around the seatback pad.
c. Remove the seatback pad.
d. Remove the seatback support cover.




8. REMOVE SEAT TRACK
a. Remove the 5 bolts and seat track.

Torque: 26 N.m (260 kgf.cm, 19 ft.lbf)

b. Remove the seat cushion lower cover.




9. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT MOTOR
Remove the 2 bolts and motor.







10. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER
Peel the seat cushion cover away from around the edge of the seat cushion.

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following items.
- Using fog ring pliers, install the new hog ring.
- Before installing the reclining adjuster, align the match marks.
- If creases occur in the front seat, stretch out the creases by heating them with a dryer, etc. If the creases still cannot be removed, spray them lightly with a vaporizer before applying the hair dryer again.




11. REMOVE FRONT AND REAR VERTICAL MOTOR
Remove the 8 screws and vertical motors.




12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LINK WITH FRONT VERTICAL
a. Remove the 2 screws and screw support bushing.
b. Remove the 4 nuts and link.

Torque: 11 N.m (110 kgf.cm, 8.0 ft.lbf)




13. REMOVE SLIDE MOTOR
a. Remove the 2 screws and motor.
b. Remove the cable.




14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LINK WITH REAR VERTICAL
a. Remove the 2 screws and screw support bushing.
b. Remove snap ring from the link.
c. Remove the 4 nuts and link.

Torque: 11 N.m (110 kgf.cm, 8.0 ft.lbf)




15. REMOVE POWER SEAT HOUSING
a. Using pliers and hold the screw shaft.
b. Remove the nuts and washers.
c. Remove the housings.




16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT MOTOR SUPPORT BRACKET
Remove the bracket from the front seat track.

REASSEMBLY
Reassembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.
