Hood: Adjustments
HINT: Since the centering bolt is used as a hood hinge set bolt and hood lock set bolt, the hood and hood lock can not be adjusted with it on. Substitute a bolt with washer for the centering bolt.
1. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Check that the clearance is within the standard value.
2. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Adjust the hood by loosening the hood side hinge bolts.
Torque: 26 N.m (265 kgf.cm, 19 ft.lbf)
b. Adjust the hood by turning the cushions.
c. Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock release lever cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
NOTE: Removing the protector damages the clips inside the protector, and therefore the use of a new protector is necessary on installation.
d. Adjust the lock by loosening the bolts.
