MARK LEVINSON AMPLIFIER INSTALLATION PRECAUTION

Some replacement Mark Levinson amplifiers may appear to be inoperative when first installing them into a vehicle. The following precautions should ensure the amplifier will work properly when installed.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
- 2001 - 2002 model year GS300, GS430, LS430 and LX470 vehicles equipped with the Mark Levinson sound system.
- 2002 model year ES300 and SC430 vehicles equipped with the Mark Levinson sound system.

INSTALLATION PRECAUTION:

1. With the ignition key out of the ignition, install the replacement amplifier into the vehicle.
2. Insert the ignition key into the ignition, turn the ignition key to "ACC" and wait for 5 minutes.
3. After 5 minutes, turn the ignition key to "LOCK" and wait 1 minute.
4. After 1 minute, turn the ignition key to "ACC" and push the "Power" button on the radio to confirm normal sound system operation.

NOTE:
During this 5 minute period, the amplifier is initializing itself to match the vehicle's audio settings.
