Removal and Installation






REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)





2. REMOVE BRAKE CALIPER
a. Remove the 2 bolts and caliper from the steering knuckle.
Torque: 118 Nm (1,200 kgf-cm, 87 ft. lbs.)
b. Support the brake caliper securely.
3. DISCONNECT ABS SPEED SENSOR AND WIRE HARNESS
a. Remove the bolt and ABS speed sensor.
Torque: 7.8 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 69 inch lbs.)
b. Remove the O-ring from the ABS speed sensor.

NOTICE: At the time of installation, check that there is no foreign object attached to the tip and installation part of the ABS speed sensor.

c. Remove the bolt and ABS speed sensor wire harness.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 inch lbs.)
4. DISCONNECT UPPER SUSPENSION ARM FROM STEERING KNUCKLE
a. Remove the clip and nut.
Torque: 87 Nm (890 kgf-cm, 64 ft. lbs.)





b. Using SST, disconnect the upper suspension arm from the steering knuckle.

5. DISCONNECT STABILIZER BAR FROM STABILIZER BAR LINK
Remove the bolt and nut and disconnect the stabilizer bar from the stabilizer bar link
Torque: 55 Nm (560 kgf-cm, 41 ft. lbs.)
6. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER





a. Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the shock absorber from the shock absorber bracket.
Torque: 157 Nm (1,600 kgf-cm, 116 ft. lbs.)

HINT: At the time of installation, after stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt.





b. Loosen the piston rod lock nut.

NOTICE: Do not remove it.

Torque: 27 Nm (280 kgf-cm, 20 ft. lbs.)
c. Remove the 3 nuts, spring support reinforcement and shock absorber with coil sprints.
Torque: 56 Nm (570 kgf-cm, 41 ft. lbs.)
d. Remove the suspension support No. 1 from the shock absorber with coil spring.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order or removal.

HINT: After installation, check the ABS speed sensor signal and front wheel alignment.
