Introduction

Improvements have been made to the footrest retaining clips for the 2002 model year IS 300. Please refer to the table for the appropriate repair procedures.

Applicable Warranty*:

This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

*Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure





Vehicles that were produced from October 1, 2001 to November 2, 2001 were equipped with M6 stud bolts for the footrest. Vehicles of other production periods were equipped with M5 stud bolts for the footrest. Therefore, please replace the footrest or clips according to the part number information.

Replace the footrest clips with new ones.
