Introduction
Some 2002 - 2003 model year IS 300 vehicles equipped with manual transmissions may emit a cyclic high pitched noise ("chirp") when the transmission is in neutral, the engine is idling and the clutch pedal is not depressed. The noise is eliminated when clutch pedal is depressed a small amount. A revised clutch release cylinder assembly has been developed to eliminate the noise.
