Exterior Moulding / Trim: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. w/ Mudguard:
REMOVE FRONT MUDGUARD
Using a hexagon wrench, remove the 3 screws and front mudguard.
2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING
a. w/o Mudguard:
Using a hexagon wrench, remove the 2 screws.
b. Using a moulding remover, pry out the moulding.
c. Pull off the moulding by cutting the adhesive with a knife.
d. Remove the front fender moulding.
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the hole cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 4 nuts.
c. Using a moulding remover, pry out the moulding.
d. Pull off the moulding by cutting the adhesive with a knife.
e. Remove the front door outside moulding.
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE UPPER MOULDING
a. Using a moulding remover, pry out the moulding.
b. Pull off the moulding by cutting the adhesive with a knife.
c. Remove the front door outside upper moulding from the front door outside moulding.
5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE LOWER MOULDING
Remove the 5 screws and front door outside lower moulding from the front door outside moulding.
6. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 hole covers.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 4 nuts.
c. Using a moulding remover, pry out the moulding.
d. Pull off the moulding by cutting the adhesive with a knife.
e. Remove the rear door outside moulding.
7. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE UPPER MOULDING
a. Using a moulding remover, pry out the moulding.
b. Pull off the moulding by cutting the adhesive with a knife.
c. Remove the rear door outside upper moulding from the rear door outside moulding.
8. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE LOWER MOULDING
Remove the 3 screws and rear door outside lower moulding.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE LOWER MOULDING
Install the rear door outside lower moulding with the 3 screws to the rear door outside moulding.
2. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE UPPER MOULDING
a. Using a heat light, heat the rear door outside moulding mounting surface to 40 - 60 degrees C (104 - 140 degrees F).
b. Remove the adhesive tape from the rear door outside moulding.
c. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
d. If reusing the rear door outside upper moulding:
Clean the rear door outside upper moulding.
1. Using a heat light, heat the rear door outside upper moulding to 20 - 30 degrees C (68 - 86 degrees F).
NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
2. Remove the adhesive tape from the rear door outside upper moulding.
3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
4. Apply new adhesive tapes to the rear door outside upper moulding as shown in the illustration.
e. Using a heat light, heat the rear door outside moulding and rear door outside upper moulding.
Body: 40 - 60 degrees C (104 - 140 degrees F)
Moulding: 20 - 30 degrees C (68 - 86 degrees F)
NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
f. Lift the moulding release sheets face of moulding.
NOTE: When the moulding release sheets is removed, make sure that no dirt or dust can get onto the uncoated area.
3. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING
a. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface to 40 - 60 degrees C (104 - 140 degrees F).
b. Remove the adhesive tapes from the body.
c. Wiper off stains with cleaner.
d. If reusing the moulding:
Clean the moulding.
1. Using a heat light, heat the moulding to 20 - 30 degrees C (68 - 86 degrees F).
NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
2. Remove the adhesive tapes from the moulding.
3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
4. Apply new adhesive tapes to the moulding as shown in the illustration.
e. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.
Body: 40 - 60 degrees C (104 - 140 degrees F)
Moulding: 20 - 30 degrees C (68 - 86 degrees F)
NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
f. Lift the moulding release sheets from face of moulding.
NOTE: When the moulding release sheets it removed, make sure that no dirt or dust can get onto the uncoated area.
g. Install the rear door outside moulding with the 4 nuts. h. Install the 2 hole covers.
4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE LOWER MOULDING
Install the front door outside lower moulding with the 5 screws to the front door outside moulding.
5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE UPPER MOULDING
a. Using a heat light, heat the front door outside moulding mounting surface to 40 - 60 degrees C (104 - 140 degrees F).
b. Remove the adhesive tapes from the front door outside moulding.
c. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
d. If reusing the front door outside upper moulding;
Clean the front door outside upper moulding.
1. Using a heat light, heat the front door outside upper moulding to 20 - 30 degrees C (68 - 86 degrees F).
NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
2. Remove the adhesive tapes from the front door outside upper moulding.
3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
4. Apply new adhesive tapes to the front door outside upper moulding as shown in the illustration.
e. Using a heat light, heat the front door outside moulding and front door outside upper moulding.
Body: 40 - 60 degrees C (104 - 140 degrees F)
Moulding: 20 - 30 degrees C (68 - 86 degrees F)

f. Lift the moulding release sheets face of moulding.

2. Remove the adhesive tapes from the moulding.
3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
4. Apply new adhesive tapes to the moulding as shown in the illustration.
e. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.
Body: 40 - 60 degrees C (104 - 140 degrees F)
Moulding: 20 - 30 degrees C (68 - 86 degrees F)

g. Install the front door outside moulding with the 4 nuts.
h. Install the hole cover.
7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MOULDING
a. Using a heat light, the body mounting surface to 40-60 degrees C(104-140 degrees F).
b. Remove the adhesive tapes from the body.
c. Wiper off stains with cleaner.
d. If reusing the moulding:
Clean the moulding.
1. Using a heat light, heat the moulding to 20 - 30 degrees C (68 - 86 degrees F).
NOTE: Do not heat the moulding excessively.
2. Remove the adhesive tapes from the moulding.
3. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
4. Apply new adhesive tapes to the moulding as shown in the illustration.
e. Using a heat light, heat the body and moulding.
Body: 40 - 60 degrees C (104 - 140 degrees F)
Moulding: 20 - 30 degrees C (68 - 86 degrees F)

g. Install the front fender moulding.
h. w/o Mudguard:
Using a hexagon wrench, install the 2 screws.
8. w/ Mudguard:
INSTALL FRONT MUDGUARD
Using a hexagon wrench, install the front mudguard with the 3 screws.
