Removal and Installation

Side Airbag Assembly:

REMOVAL

NOTE:
- If the wiring connector of the SRS is disconnected and the ignition switch is at ON position, DTCs will be recorded.
- Never use the airbag parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace them with new parts.




1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ANCHOR
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the front seat outer belt anchor.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT
a. Remove the 4 seat track covers and 4 bolts.
b. Disconnect the power seat and side airbag connectors.
c. Disconnect the seat position sensor assembly connector.

NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

d. Remove the front seat.

3. REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOBS




4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
Remove the 4 screws and front seat cushion shield.




5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD
Remove the 3 screws and front seat cushion inner shield.




6. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD
a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Remove the front seatback board as shown in the illustration.

7. REMOVE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
a. Climate control seat:
Remove the 3 screws and disconnect the air duct.

b. Disconnect the connectors and disengage the clamps.




c. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback assembly.

8. REMOVE HEADREST
Pull the headrest assembly upward to remove it.

9. REMOVE HEADREST SUPPORTS




10. REMOVE SEATBACK FRAME
a. Remove the bolt and seat cover hook.
b. Remove the seatback frame from the seatback cover with pad.

NOTE: Do not damage the side airbag assembly.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Never use airbag parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace them with new parts.

1. INSTALL SEATBACK FRAME
a. Install the seatback frame to the seatback cover with pad.




b. Install the seatback hook with the bolt.

NOTE: Do not damage the side airbag assembly.

2. INSTALL HEADREST SUPPORTS

4. INSTALL SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
a. Install the seatback assembly with the 4 bolts.
b. Connect the connectors and engage the clamps.
c. Climate control seat:
Connect the air duct and install it with 3 screws.




5. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD
Install the front seatback board with the 2 screws.




6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD
Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the 3 screws.

7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
Install the front seat cushion shield with the 4 screws.




8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT
a. Set the front seat to the body.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the body.

b. Connect the seat position sensor connector.
c. Connect the power seat and side airbag connectors.
d. Install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts, then install the 4 seat track covers.




9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ANCHOR
a. Install to front seat outer belt anchor with the bolt.
b. Install the cover.
