REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER AND ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH

3. REMOVE DRIVE BELT
Loosen the belt tension by turning the drive belt tension counterclockwise, and remove the drive belt.

HINT: The tension pulley has a left-hand thread.

4. DISCONNECT PS OIL COOLER PIPE FROM OIL PAN
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws, disconnect the 2 PS oil cooler pipes from the oil pan.

5. REMOVE GENERATOR
a. Disconnect the generator connector.
b. Remove the rubber cap and nut, disconnect the generator wire.
c. Remove the bolt and cord clip from the generator.
d. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts, wire bracket and generator.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL GENERATOR
a. Install the generator and wire bracket with the bolt and 2 nuts.

Torque: 39 N.m (400 kgf.cm, 29 ft.lbf)

b. Install the cord clip to the generator with the bolt.
c. Connect the generator wire and install the rubber cap with the nut.
d. Connect the generator connector.

2. CONNECT PS OIL COOLER PIPE TO OIL PAN
Connect the 2 PS oil cooler pipes to the oil pan with the 2 bolts and 2 screws.

3. INSTALL DRIVE BELT
Install the drive belt by turning the drive belt tension counterclockwise.

HINT: The tension pulley bolt has a left-hand thread.

4. INSTALL V-BANK COVER AND ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH
5. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER

REPLACEMENT

1. REPLACE FRONT BEARING
a. Remove the 4 screws, bearing retainer and bearing.

b. Using SST and a socket wrench and press, press out the bearing.

c. Using SST and a press, press in a new bearing.

SST 09950-60010 (09951-00480)

d. Install the bearing retainer with the 4 screws.

Torque: 2.6 N.m (27 kgf.cm, 23 in.lbf)

2. REPLACE REAR BEARING
a. Using SST remove the bearing cover (outside) and bearing.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the fan.

b. Remove the bearing cover (inside).

c. Place the bearing cover (inside) on the rotor.

d. Using SST and a press, press in a new bearing.

e. Using SST, push in the bearing cover (outside).
