Description

The SC430 has adopted a metal-top, convertible-type body construction that achieves both high rigidity and safety.

Lightweight and Highly Rigid Body

1. High Strength Sheet Steel and Aluminum Alloy Panel





In order to improve the torsion rigidity that is insufficient for a convertible-type body, high strength sheet steel and aluminum alloy panel has been adopted, thus realizing a lightweight body.

2. Body Shell





The braces, members and bulkheads have been effectively located to ensure high rigidity and to realize excellent stability and controllability.

^ Front apron and rocker has been connected with a big brace, thus ensuring rigidity.

^ Bulkhead is arranged effectively at the connection portion of the front and quarter pillar and the rocker, thus ensured the high bond rigidity.

^ In order to improve the bond rigidity in the horizontal direction of the rear body, together with arranging the cross member effectively, establishing the gusset at the connection portion of the side member, thus improved the body rigidity efficiently.





^ By arranging eight braces under the floor, improvement of torsional rigidity of the body has been realized.
