Rust Resistant Body

Rust-Resistant Body

1. General

Rust-resistant performance is enhanced by extensive use of anti-corrosion sheet and an anti-corrosion treatment by applying wax, sealer and anti-chipping paint to easily corroded parts such as the hood and door.

2. Anti-Corrosion Sheet Steel and Galvanizing Treatment

Galvanizing treatment is applied to surface of hood, roof and rear window frame, and for all the other areas, Anti-corrosion sheet steel is used, thus secured the rust-resistant performance.

3. Wax and Sealer

Wax is applied to the hood, door and sealar is applied to each hemmed portion and the edge of the panel to improve rust-resistant performance.

4. Under Coat

Applying the foaming Visol chloride (Vinyl Chloride Plastisol) to the inside of the wheelhouse, quarter, lower dash and the locker inner has reduced the tipping noise. Visol chloride, which has superior performance for anti-tipping and rust prevention, has been applied to the back of the floor.

Also, the panel edge portion has been sealed, thus improved the rust prevention.

5. Anti-Chipping Application

Large rocker resin molding and wheel arch has been adopted to protect the lower portion of the body side and wheel arch from being damaged by stone chipping.

Soft tip primer has been adopted to the hood and fender panel portions.
