Coolant: Service and Repair

REPLACEMENT





1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
a. Remove the radiator cap.
b. Loosen the radiator drain plug and drain the engine coolant.
2. ADD ENGINE COOLANT
a. Mix engine coolant with plan water according to the manufacture's direction.
b. Tighten the radiator drain plug and add the engine coolant into the radiator until it overflows.
Coolant: TOYOTA long life coolant or equivalent
c. Press the radiator hoses several times by hand.
d. In case of that the engine coolant level of the radiator becomes lower, add some engine coolant.
e. Install the radiator cap.
f. Add engine coolant to FULL line of the reservoir tank.
g. Warm up the engine.
h. Stop the engine and wait until the engine coolant become cold.
i. Check the radiator with engine coolant full.
j. Check the engine coolant level of the reservoir tank.
Engine coolant capacity: 9.9 liters (10.46 US qts, 8.71 Imp. qts)
