Rear Suspension Arm No.2 LH
REPLACEMENTHINT:
^ COMPONENTS: See Diagrams; Exploded Views
^ Replace the RH side by the same procedures with LH side.
1. REMOVE WHEEL HUB ORNAMENT SUB-ASSY [42603/98-46]
a) Remove the 10 bolts and wheel hub ornament sub-assy.
2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
a) Remove the 5 nuts and rear wheel.
3. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSY NO. 2 LH [48740F/98-64]
a) Remove the bolt, nut and disconnect the stabilizer link and the height control link from the rear suspension arm assy No. 2.
b) Remove the bolt, nut and disconnect the shock absorber from the rear suspension arm assy No. 2.
c) Place matchmarks on the adjusting cam and rear suspension arm assy No. 2.
d) Remove the nut, camber adjust cam No. 2 and camber adjust cam No. 1, disconnect the rear suspension arm No. 2 from the axle carrier.
e) Remove the bolt, nut, washer and rear suspension arm assy No. 2.
4. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSY NO.2 LH [48740F/98-64]
a) Install the rear suspension arm assy No. 2 to the suspension member with the bolt, washer and nut.
Torque: 110 Nm (1,120 kgf-cm, 81 ft. lbs.)
HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut.
b) Install the nut, camber adjust cam No. 2 and camber adjust cam No. 1.
c) Align the matchmarks on the adjusting cam and rear suspension arm assy No. 2.
HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut.
d) Connect the shock absorber and install the bolt, nut to the rear suspension arm assy No. 2 LH with the bolt and nut.
Torque: 110 Nm (1,120 kgf-cm, 81 ft. lbs.)
HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut.
e) Connect the stabilizer link and the height control sensor link to the rear suspension arm assy No. 2 LH with the bolt and nut.
Torque: 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
5. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
a) Install the rear wheel with the 5 nut.
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf=cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
6. INSTALL WHEEL HUB ORNAMENT SUB-ASSY [42603/98-46]
a) Install the wheel hub ornament sub-assy with the 10 bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.)
7. INSPECT REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
