PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Using the manual operation procedures found on the ETAS Library under section Sliding Roof/convertible >> Manual Operation, open the roof panel to the half open position.

2. Remove the roof side inner garnish.
a) Use a clip tool to pull out the clip at the top of the garnish.
b) Disengage the 7 clips located as shown to the right.

NOTE:
Use a nylon pry tool or a screwdriver with a taped tip to prevent damage to the garnish or body.

c) Remove the garnish.
d) Repeat steps A, B, and C for the other side.

3. Remove the 2 nuts on either side of the back window frame inner panel located as shown in the picture.
4. Return the roof to the closed position and test drive.
a) If the noise is gone, go to step 8.
b) If the noise is still present, continue.

5. Return the roof to the half open position.
6. Bend the back window frame inner panel.
Using a screwdriver, bend the shaded area of the inner panel 2mm away from the outer panel as shown.

NOTE:
Do not bend the outer panel. Bending the outer panel may damage the glass. If bending is more than 3mm, the inner panel may contact the side garnish and create additional noise.

7. Return the roof to the closed position and test drive.
a) If the noise is gone, reinstall the roof side inner garnishes.
b) If the noise is still present, repeat steps 5-7 to ensure no additional contact is being made between the inner and outer panels.

8. Reassemble and test drive vehicle to confirm the condition is corrected.
