Introduction

Certain ES 300 vehicles' front door power window regulators may deform after use. Replace the window regulator with new service parts as indicated in this bulletin.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty:

This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure





Replace front door window regulator. To find the procedures for front door window regulator replacement and system initialization, refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) 2002 or 2003 ES 300 Repair Manual: Engine Hood/Door, Front door.

To find power window function checks, refer to TIS 2002 or 2003 ES 300 Repair Manual: Windshield/Window Glass/Mirror, Power Window.

NOTE:
Ensure that the regulator attaching screws are torqued to the door at the specification indicated in the Figure above.
