The rear sunshade assembly of some 2002 - 2003 model year ES 300 vehicles may bind against the rear package tray sub-assembly. Lexus has improved the rear package tray assembly to correct this condition. If this condition occurs, please replace the rear package tray assembly with a new one.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
2002 - 2003 model year ES 300 vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below.

Remove and replace rear package tray panel assembly. Refer to 2002 - 2003 model year ES 300 Repair Manual on ETAS:
