Introduction





The front seatback board covers on some 2002-2003 model year ES 300 vehicles may become loose. A production change has been made to the part to improve its fixture to the seatback frame.

Applicable Warranty*:

This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.





Parts Information

NOTE:
Two new seat clips are included with each seatback board. The clips at the bottom of the back board are not reusable. If an improved board has to be installed again, always use new clips (P/N 71769-33030, quantity 1 per P/N, 2 required per seatback).

Repair Procedure

1. Remove the front seatback board assembly.





A. Disengage the 2 clips at the bottom.

B. Pull the front seatback board downwards and remove.

2. Install the new front seatback board assembly in the reverse order of removal.
