Mirrors: Description and Operation

SYSTEM OUTLINE

The driver can adjust the angle of the outer mirror at his or her will by operating the remote control mirror SW.

1. ELECTRIC STORAGE SYSTEM
When the ignition SW is turned to "OFF" from "ACC" or "ON", the signal is communicated to the door ECU, and the outer rear view mirror motor is controlled to fold the mirror. When the ignition SW is turned to "ON" or "ACC" from "OFF", the signal is communicated and the outer rear view mirror motor is controlled to unfold the mirror.

2. REVERSE INTERLOCK SYSTEM
If the shift lever is shifted to R position, outer mirror is automatically adjusted so that the driver sees the lower area.

3. FOOT LIGHT
The light is installed at the lower part of the outer mirror to light up the road surface near the doors when the driver or passengers getting on and off.

Conditions for lighting on (Shift lever P position)
- Unlock operation by the wireless control
- Unlock operation by the central door lock SW

Conditions for lighting off
- Lock operation by the central door lock SW
- When above conditions are not satisfied, after about 15 seconds set by the timer or the shift lever is shifted to the positions except P position. (Ignition SW at ON position)

4. MEMORY SYSTEM
The mirror is returned to the position memorized before by operating the memory SW. The driver' power seat and the power tilt telescopic also operates in the same way.
