SYSTEM OUTLINE1. AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY CALL
If an airbag deploys, an emergency signal is sent automatically to the LEXUS link call center. If the advisor cannot get any response from the customer, the advisor will locate his vehicle through the GPS.
2. MANUAL EMERGENCY CALL
The driver can place an emergency call manually. Upon reception of his call, the advisor will locate his vehicle and contact him to access the situation.
3. SERVICE CALL
When the driver pushes the SERVICE button, the advisor provides him with the service. The services provided will depend on the level of service package selected.
4. MEMORANDUM RECORD
During a service call, the driver can record a conversation with the LEXUS link call center advisor.
5. DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK
The LEXUS link system will allow the vehicle to be locked and unlocked remotely.
6. THEFT DETECTION
If the theft deterrent system on the vehicle is activated, the LEXUS link system on the vehicle will automatically call the LEXUS link call center. The advisor will attempt to contact the customer to determine whether the alarm is valid. If the customer reports to the LEXUS link call center that his vehicle has been stolen, the advisor will locate, track and provide location information to the appropriate law enforcement authority.
Cases where the system will not make a call:
- The system components or wire harnesses are damaged due to the accident.
- The vehicle is in a weak or non-analog cellular coverage area.
- The LEXUS link call center is not operational.
- The vehicle has turned over and the antenna is shut off.
- The GPS signal can not be received, and the correct position can not be located.
- The LEXUS link subscription has expired.
