Parking Brake System: Adjustments
ADJUSTMENT1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE
3. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
a. Install the rear wheel with the 5 nuts.
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
b. Install the ornament with the 10 bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.)
4. CHECK PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL
a. Depress the parking brake pedal all the way and count the number of clicks.
Parking brake pedal travel: 7 - 9 clicks at 300 N (30.6 kgf, 67 lbs.)
5. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL
a. Remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly No. 1.
b. Loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusting nut until the pedal travel is correct.
c. Tighten the lock nut.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 inch lbs.)
d. Install the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly No. 1.
