ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION







1. AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
a. Ignition switch ON.
b. Light control switch AUTO.
c. Vehicle's surroundings are bright.

HINT: Connect the wire harness side connector to the sensor and inspect wire harness side connector from the back side, as shown.

2. ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
a. The light that is lit in the illuminated entry system is explained below:

b. Turn the ignition switch OFF open all the doors, and set the driver door in the lock condition.
c. Unlock the driver door and open any one of the doors, and check that the room light goes on. Close the door and check that the room light goes off in about 15 seconds.
d. Turn the ignition switch ON and open and close any one of the doors. Check that the room light immediately goes off.
e. Turn ignition switch OFF.
f. Open and close any one of the doors to light the room light. Before the room light goes off in about 15 seconds, turn the ignition switch ON. Check that the room light goes off immediately.
g. Turn ignition switch OFF.
h. Open and close any one of the doors to light the room light. Before the light goes off in about 15 seconds, lock the driver door. Check that the light goes off immediately.

3. BATTERY SAVER OPERATION CHECK
a. Remove the ignition key and close all the doors.
b. Open the driver door to light the room light and leave it as it is. Check that the light goes off in about 20 minutes.
c. After the room light goes off, close the driver door.
d. Open the passenger door or one of the rear doors to light the room light. Open the driver door within 20 minutes. Check that the room light goes off in about 20 minutes from the time when the driver door is opened.
e. Close all the doors. With the ignition key being inserted, open any one of the doors room light the room light. In this condition, remove the ignition key. Check that the room light goes off in about 20 minutes.
f. Close all the doors.
g. Open any one of the doors to light the room light. Insert the ignition key within 20 minutes. Check that the room light goes off in about 20 minutes form the time when the ignition key is inserted.
