Introduction
Some customers may experience a rough idle when the vehicle is at a standstill and in gear (D position). This vibration is not noticed when the engine is under load above idle.

Repair Procedure
1. Verify the rough idle with vehicle in gear (D position).
2. Inspect the rubber on the front engine mount insulators for cracking or tearing.
3. If a front engine mount insulator shows damage, replace the insulator and engine mounting stabilizer.
4. For insulator and stabilizer torque specifications, refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), SC 430 Repair Manual: Service Specifications: Engine Mechanical.

Applicable Warranty:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 72 months or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
