On-Vehicle Inspection
1. MANUAL OPERATION CHECKa. Check that the power seat works whenever the power seat switches (for slide, front vertical, lifter, reclining and lumbar support) are operated.
2. MEMORY AND REPRODUCTION FUNCTION CHECK
a. Turn the ignition switch ON and move the shift position into the P range.
b. Move the seat into the maximum front and upper positions via each seat switch.
c. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds and the seat position is memorized when the memory switch 1 is pressed with the SET button of the memory switch kept pressing.
d. Move the seat out of the maximum front and upper positions via each seat switch.
e. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds and the seat position is memorized when the memory switch 2 is pressed with the SET button of the memory switch kept pressing.
f. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the seat automatically moves into the maximum front and upper positions (memorized positions) when the memory switch 1 is pressed.
g. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the seat automatically moves out of the maximum front and upper positions (memorized positions) when the memory switch 2 is pressed.
h. Check the seat automatically moves into the memorized position when the memory switch 1 or 2 is pressed within 30 seconds after the ignition switch is turned OFF and the key plate is pulled out from the key cylinder then the driver's door is opened.
i. Move the seat into the maximum position of the slide and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery while the memory switch is pressed ON then leave the seat in the position for 3 minutes. Deletion of the seat position's memory has been done.
j. Move the seat into all the maximum positions (front/rear and upper/down) via each seat switch.
k. Check that the seat does not move (the seat position is not memorized) when M1 or M2 switch is pressed, after the memory switch 1 and 2 are pressed at one time while pressing the SET button of the memory switch.
3. INITIALIZATION CHECK
a. When replacing the power seat switch (seat ECU), perform an initialization by moving the power seat into the maximum front and upper positions.
b. When replacing the D/C OUT fuse, perform an initialization by moving the power seat into the maximum front upper positions.
