BODYON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. Canada: TIGHTEN BOLTS AND NUTS ON CHASSIS AND BODY
a. Tighten the front seat mounting bolts.
Torque: 37 Nm (375 kgf-cm, 27 ft. lbs.)
b. Tighten the front suspension lower cross member-to body mounting nuts.
Torque:
176 Nm (1,795 kgf-cm, 130 ft. lbs.) for A
157 Nm (1,600 kgf-cm, 116 ft. lbs.) for B
c. Tighten the rear suspension member-to-body mounting bolts.
Torque: 180 Nm (1,840 kgf-cm, 133 ft. lbs.)
2. BODY INSPECTION
a. Check the body exterior for dents, scratch and rust.
b. Check the underbody for rust and damage. If necessary, replace or repair.
3. ROAD TEST
a. Check the engine and chassis for abnormal noises.
b. Check that the brakes work properly and do not drag.
c. Perform setting of the parking brakes shoes and drum.
4. REPLACE A/C FILTER
a. Remove the glove compartment assembly.
b. Remove the filter case from the filter outlet.
c. Remove the filter from the filter case.
d. Replace the filter with a new one.
e. The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order.
5. FINAL INSPECTION
a. Check the operation of these body parts
1. Hood
^ Auxiliary catch operates properly.
^ Hood locks securely when closed.
2. Front and rear doors
^ Door locks operate properly.
^ Doors close properly.
3. Luggage compartment door
^ Door lock operates properly.
4. Seats
^ Seat adjusts easily and locks securely in any position.
^ Front seat back locks securely in any position.
b. Be sure to deliver a clean car. In particular, the following.
^ Steering wheel
^ Shift lever knob
^ All switch knobs
^ Seats
