Replacement

REPLACEMENT

HINT: Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

1. PRECAUTION
2. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO.2
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSY RH
5. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT PLATE
6. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT HOLE COVER
7. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSY W/INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSY LOWER NO.2
8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER
9. REMOVE PANEL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH LOWER
10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL END
11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER LOWER
12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO.1
13. REMOVE COIN BOX ASSY
14. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY
15. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSY NO.1
16. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSY
17. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET
18. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE ARMREST ASSY
19. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSY
20. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX
21. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX DUCT NO.1




22. REMOVE AIR BAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER
a. Disconnect the holder (with connectors) from the airbag sensor assy center.
b. Remove the 3 bolts and the airbag sensor assy center.

23. INSTALL AIR BAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER
a. Check that the ignition switch is off.
b. Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.

CAUTION: After removing the terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

c. Temporarily install the airbag sensor assy center with the 3 bolts.

NOTE:
- If the airbag sensor assy center has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.
- When installing the airbag sensor assy center, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

d. Tighten the 3 bolts to the specified torque.

Torque: 20 Nm (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

e. Connect the holder (with connectors) to the airbag sensor assy center.
f. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the airbag sensor assy center.
g. Check that the water-proof sheet is properly set.

24. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL






NOTE: When disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the system shown in the table after the terminal is reconnected.

25. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
