Backup Lamp: Service and Repair

BACK UP LAMP ASSEMBLY LH

OVERHAUL

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER
2. REMOVE BACK UP LAMP ASSEMBLY LH




a. Remove the clamp and disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 3 nuts and back up lamp assembly LH.




3. REMOVE BACK UP LAMP BULB
a. Turn in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove the rear lamp socket & wire and the back up lamp bulb as a unit.
b. Remove the back up lamp bulb from the rear lamp socket & wire.

4. REMOVE BACK UP LAMP BULB




a. Turn in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove the rear lamp socket & wire and the back up lamp bulb as a unit.
b. Remove the back up lamp bulb from the rear lamp socket & wire.




c. Remove the back up lamp gasket.




5. INSTALL BACK UP LAMP ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the back up lamp assembly LH with the new back up lamp gasket.
