Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

REAR COMBINATION LAMP ASSEMBLY LH

OVERHAUL

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK NO.1
3. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
4. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LAMP ASSEMBLY LH




a. Disconnect the each connectors.
b. Remove the 3 nuts and the rear combination lamp assembly LH.




c. Remove the rear combination lamp gasket.




5. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LAMP BULB
a. Turn in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove the 2 socket plugs and the 2 rear combination lamp bulbs as a unit.
b. Remove the 2 rear combination lamp bulbs from the 2 socket plugs.

6. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LAMP BULB




a. Turn in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove the rear combination lamp socket and wire sub-assembly RH and the rear combination lamp bulb as a unit.
b. Remove the rear combination lamp bulb from the rear combination lamp socket and wire sub-assembly RH.




c. Remove the 2 screws.
d. Disengage the 2 claws and the pin and remove the rear combination lamp bezel stay.




7. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LAMP ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the rear combination lamp assembly LH with the new rear combination lamp gasket.
