INSPECTION

1. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

a. Select L or R on the mirror master switch.

b. Measure the resistance of the mirror master switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.

c. Measure the resistance of the mirror control switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.

d. Measure the resistance of the retract switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.

2. Driver side:

INSPECT SEAT MEMORY SWITCH

a. Measure the resistance of the switch.
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

3. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

a. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror.
If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

b. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the retactable mirror.*

*:w/Retractable mirror

NOTE:
- Disconnect and reconnect the battery between each mirror position check.
- The mirror position cannot be changed manually when the battery is connected. To change the mirror position manually, the battery must be disconnected first.

If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

c. Inspect the mirror position sensor.

1. Apply battery and dry cell battery voltage to the terminals as shown in the table.
2. Measure the voltage while the mirror moves between the fully downward and fully upward positions.
If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

3. Measure the voltage while the mirror moves between fully turned to the left and fully turned to the right.
If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

d. Inspect the mirror heater.

1. Measure the resistance between terminals 4 and 12 of the connector.
Standard: 3.57 to 4.83 Ohm at 25 °C (75 °F)

2. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of mirror heater.

HINT: It will take a short time for the mirror to become warm.

If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

4. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH

a. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror.
